Digestive disorders and joint problems may be the result of eating gluten contained in wheat products. If you suffer with these conditions, a Wheat-Free Diet may be just what you need to relieve your uncomfortable symptoms. Do you think that?s the only reason for not consuming products with gluten in them? Kicking this food out of your eating plan also can help you drop those unwanted pounds.

Millet is commonly used as a wheat substitute for both gluten-free and wheat-free diets, as well as are quinoa, brown rice, and sprouted grains.

Gluten-free diets and wheat-free diets often are confused with each other. Gluten may be present in wheat products, yet these two diets differ. When you?re on a wheat-free diet, you simply eliminate all foods that contain wheat. Gluten-free diets are stricter because the dieter not only cannot eat any foods with wheat in them, but needs to avoid rye and barley products as well.

What?s to be gained by not eating wheat?

  • Reduce digestive problems caused by wheat
  • You can lose some weight
  • Without wheat you will experience less joint pain

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) can cause abdominal pain, bloating, gas, changes in bowel movements, and cramping. People with IBS may be constipated one minute and have diarrhea the next. At times those with IBS cannot control their bowel movements. IBS, what personal horrors can it bring if you are stuck in traffic with no place to go?

There is little consistency in the lives of those who suffer from irritable bowel syndrome because symptoms change from one person to the next and they ebb and flow at random. Gluten intolerance has been shown to produce or exaggerate IBS symptoms. Since gluten is found in wheat, eliminating wheat from your diet can help reduce those symptoms.

Problems associated with wheat consumption aren?t limited to irritable bowel movement. When you eat wheat, it can clog up the intestines and make digestion difficult. A wheat-free diet can promote a healthy digestive tract by allowing food to flow through easier.

A slew of processed foods including, but not limited to the following have wheat in them: pasta, cereal, gravy, bread, and baked goods. losing weight might be difficult if you eat these foods which have no nutritious value. Unhealthy chemical additives are tossed into the mix when you eat processed wheat products with empty calories.

When you boot wheat out of your diet, there?s nothing left to eat but lean meats, fish, poultry, fruits, beans, nuts, legumes, and vegetables. These foods are nutrient-dense and lower in calories than processed foods. Reducing your caloric intake by eating healthier will go a long way in helping you lose weight.

Your natural defenses against osteoarthritis and osteoporosis can be hindered by gluten. A wheat-free diet might be the ticket for you if you have either of these two conditions. Pain is amplified for overweight individuals suffering from health issues in their joints. The weight loss you experience from a wheat-free diet will take some of the pressure off of your joints and help ease the pain.

When you?ve been eating wheat all of your life, the thought of eliminating it from your diet can be scary. It?s OK to eliminate wheat from your diet in incremental steps. A good way to begin is to reduce your wheat intake by 50 percent. Continue to cut back on how much wheat you eat as time goes by. Improved health should be a natural consequence of getting on a wheat-free diet.

Are you experiencing a quandary in regards to the best direction to turn to get healthy? The Diet Solution Program can get you on the right path and keep you there. Our recipes all are friendly to a wheat free diets.

Business Planning is Fun! No ? Really! DIYMarketers -Marketing ...

Post image for Business Planning is Fun! No ? Really!

I never thought these words would ever come out of my mouth but here they are ? Business planning is fun. ?Before you go checking to make sure I haven?t been taken over by mad marketing consultants, you?ll have to check out my latest fine ? LivePlan. ?LivePlan comes to us from PaloAlto software any my friend and?colleague?Tim Barry. ?I have to reveal something here ? I owe a lot of my career and sanity to Tim and PaloAlto because they?ve made me look smart and capable for over 20 years with their business planning and marketing software. ?I still remember seeing, buying and receiving my first Palo Alto planning software that came on one of those 3.5 floppy disks and how excited I was about the clarity and structure that it would bring to my market planning project ? and it did.

I?m not going to get on a gushing spree here about why I like PaloAlto ? I?ll just say that what I like about their products is that they are always putting themselves in my shoes. ?They don?t delude themselves about the fact that small business owners look forward to business planning about as much as a root canal. ?Then they sit down and try to understand why that is so. ?Once they?ve uncovered the list of obstacles that we all face ? they get down to the business of overcoming them.

I?ve already purchased and own the Market Plan Pro product that Tim did with John Jantsch ? and it?s wonderful. ?But I digress. ?Let?s get back to what makes LivePlan make me actually enjoy business planning.

6 Reasons LivePlan Will Make You Actually Look Forward to Writing a Business Plan

We?ve all heard the statistics that say that the reason most small businesses fail is because they don?t have a plan. ?I also heard another statistic that said that the biggest predictor of?profitability?was having profit as a goal and then planning your business around reaching that goal. ?LivePlan can help you do all of these things. ?After experiencing the demo from the PaloAlto LivePlan team ? here are 6 things that jumped out at me that actually made me look forward to writing a business plan:

  1. It?s web-based.? I prefer web based products for a million reasons, the biggest is that it?s always accessible and always up to date. ?This is not true for LivePlan.\
  2. Collaborative.? Being a social creature with team members all over the globe ? I LOVE LOVE LOVE this feature. ?I mean, you don?t have to be the only one ?suffering? through the planning process. ?Get everyone involved and let them contribute their data, their content and their opinions on the plan. ?The best business planning process I?ve ever done was more of a game with teams than a planning process and LivePlan let?s you do just that.
  3. There?s an outline to follow.? The reason I bought my first PaloAlto product was for the outline. ?They didn?t complicate it ? they just laid it out. ?What makes LivePlan?s outline so nice is that it?s easily adjustable to meet your company or industry needs.
  4. You are guided.? MarketingPlanPro introduced this guided feature and LivePlan improved on it. ?Writing a business plan can be daunting and LivePlan holds your hand and walks you through it. ?Actually Tim Barry walks you through it using this terrific videos. ?So you can write your own copy using written examples as a guide and watch Tim?s video for support. ?I just love that.
  5. Amazing layouts the print beautifully.? I generally thing that forecasting is hard enough without having to create charts and tables. ?LivePlan gives you the ability to FOCUS on your forecast and leave the charts and table layouts to them. ?Just answer the questions and don?t worry about the rest.
  6. Tracks your progress. ?It?s called LivePlan for a reason ? because it?s ALIVE. ?The biggest reason businesses fail is because they fail to plan. ?Then if they DO plan ? they fail to follow the plan and report on their progress and then make changes when necessary. ?LivePlan avoids all this because it allows you to go inside the plan and then enter your actual results and then lets you compare those results with your planned forecast.

How much is it?

The LivePlan platform is really affordable ? I men it?s got enterprise function for a small business price ? $19.95/month for 2 users and 3 plans. ?Another interesting twist is that it?s a month to month commitment AND if you decide to drop your plan or discontinue the service ? they will keep your data and store it until you?re ready to come back. ?This is a great feature and shows hoe much they?ve thought about the realities of small business life.

What?s missing?

There are a couple of small details that are still missing and in development; inserting pictures is one as well as adding hyperlinks. ?But these little tweaks are by no means show stoppers. ?None of these details are going to stop you from starting your business planning process today and being ready to launch a new plan for 2013.

Overall, I?d say the LivePlan is a terrific tool for small business and would encourage anyone to sign up and start planning their 2013 today.

Since I?ve been doing a lot of crochet and knitting lately for charity, I?ve started looking for inexpensive sources for yarn. One place that I?ve found yarn and other crafting supplies cheap was at my local Salvation Army Thrift stores. Since seeing the yarn there so cheaply, I?ve been keeping my eyes open at all the thrift stores I frequent, as well as garage sales. Another good source is to ask for the items on Freecycle. A few years ago, I got a huge trash bag full of fabric. Some of it I couldn?t use, but there were several pieces large enough to make dresses or skirts from. Last, but not least, ask around at church, a lot of times people have yarn or craft supplies they aren?t using that they would be more than happy to get rid of. I just let the ladies at church know about my charity crochet and knitting and have had several of them give me yarn to work with. I?d also place an want ad on Craig?s list. So often people have left overs from projects or have inherited yarn that they don?t know what to do with and would be more than willing and happy to get it out of their house. It never hurts to ask and it certainly doesn?t cost anything to ask!

Systems Of Outsourcing Guidance Clarified | Honest Reviews Online

Effective time management is a concern for every single business owner regardless of anything else.

And how well this is achieved will go a long way to determining the level of success for any business. Most new marketers have to learn how to do things like make websites, write copy, write articles, etc. Every IM marketer wants to reach that magical point where they can comfortably afford to pay someone else to do certain tasks. So once you?re approaching the point where you can do that, it?s time to sit down and make a list of everything you would want to outsource. Many jobs are really not in the realm of a successful business person such as submissions of any kind, small writing tasks, creating backlinks, etc. The most important thing for any business is to constantly market, and outsourcing can give you more time to do that. You?ll be able to enter the cycle in which you build more of your business and keep outsourcing more of it. Let?s move forward and take a look at several outsourcing hints that you can use in your own business.

Whenever you hire a job out you must verify that the person or team is has the adequate skills to satisfactorily complete the project. People are starting to realize the vast opportunities of online services so many people are offering them to make extra money. Keep in mind, if you?re the candidate is already familiar with internet marketing then it will make things flow a lot more smoothly. Apart from this, you need to constantly stay updated on their progress and how well they?re doing. Another key to success with outsourcing is to provide as much support as you can so they will have a clear understanding of what needs to be done. You can easily train hires how to do certain techniques for generating traffic to your site. Not many online marketers know this, but you can outsource almost any type of traffic generation you want. Let?s face it, social bookmarking is deathly boring, and many marketers pay others to do it for them. Forum posting is another less than exciting task you can outsource. It?s amazing but people will accept work such as RSS submissions, article submissions, directory submissions, commenting on blogs, etc.

You can always try to get recommendations from other online marketers. This is a great way to find out about excellent outsource workers of all kinds. People ask for recommendations all the time in the various marketing forums on the net. A lot of times marketers will recommend someone who?s good and they?re just trying to help them out with getting work. The real benefit for going with the best worker is that you can be sure of your work getting done on time, without worrying a lot. And that?s the beauty and reason behind outsourcing, it will give you choices and more opportunities.

A Liquid Dier to Lose Weight
One of the easiest ways of getting tons of nutrition while helping your chances of losing weight is through a liquid diet. Now I?m not talking about packaged protein shakes or low calorie drinks but rather whole food smoothies and juices that pack tons of fruits and vegetables into a single glass.

The recommended daily intake of fruits and vegetables is 5-10 servings yet less than 20% of North Americans meet that requirement. The reasons are many but a very simple way to remedy this issue is to get a number of those servings by way of a single smoothie or juice.

This way not only will you get an abundance of vitamins, noppen voor die strategie, minerals, and antioxidants but you also lessen the burden on your digestive system. I?m sure you can understand that anything liquid takes far less time to digest than a solid food. It just makes sense since the ingredients have already been ?predigested? by the blending or juicing process.

This applies to weight loss in the following manner. When you eat foods,Vakantie in om naar Chicago, they are digested, broken down, and absorbed into the blood to go to their final destination. Much of the time, though, the meals many people eat are so heavy that it takes them hours to digest.

As a result, the body is required to divert huge amounts of energy to the digestion process. Fatigue and lethargy are usually the first signs that this is taking place. I?m sure you?ve experienced this after a big Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner.

Since most people have underactive digestive systems many of these solid meals don?t get properly digested. They place heavy demands on the stomach and digestive organs and ultimately don?t nourish the body as it needs to be. If foods come into your body and are not properly broken down they are more easily stored as fat (since they can?t be utilized) and have a tendency to clog up the intestinal tract, impeding proper elimination.

More foods being stored as fat (especially if they?re cooked foods) and an impaired ability to eliminate them can only mean that weight is being added (not lost) to your body. Food comes in but doesn?t go out ? it?s got to go somewhere.

THE LIQUID SOLUTION

So if you want to lose weight and you can identify with the above scenarios, why not try a different approach?

Try incorporating more smoothies and fresh-pressed juices into your diet. Most of the smoothies and juices I make take no more than 5 minutes to prepare yet pack in about 4-8 servings of fruits and vegetables, and other superfoods!

This means that with just 2 smoothies or juices per day I can get more than my needed intake of fruits and vegetables. This has pretty obvious health benefits. It is also immensely beneficial for weight loss seekers.

Liquid meals reduce the load on your digestive system. It?s almost as if the nutrients bypass the entire process of digestion and get absorbed right to where they need to be.

The benefits to juicing and making your own smoothies are numerous, but needless to say you have to give them a shot to truly feel their full power.

Here are 2 recipes from Eating for Energy to get you started:

Spinach Pear Smoothie Serves 1 to 2

3 cups spinach 1 pear ? cup parsley 1 cup celery juice Juice of half a lemon

* Blend all ingredients into a blender until smooth.

Grape-Celery Cooler Serves 1 to 2

1 cup sweet red grapes 3-4 celery stalks Mint for garnish (optional)

* In a juicer, juice all ingredients and garnish with mint if desired.

The Creative Commons Series Part One: An ... - CREATE Legal

If you are an artist, photographer, videographer or writer you may have already heard of Creative Commons. Even if you are a recreational picture-taker who posts the occasional family vacation photo to Flickr you probably noticed a prompt giving you the option to designate a Creative Commons license for the photograph. The terms of these licenses can be confusing, which is why this Creative Commons blog series seeks to break down and explain their complicated layers.

Part One of our series will introduce you to the concepts behind Creative Commons, its mission and its usage. Part Two will explain the different licenses Creative Commons offers and their specific functions. Part Three will illustrate important points to keep in mind before choosing a license and Part Four will provide tips on how to use Creative Commons content and properly attribute creative works.

What is Creative Commons?
Creative Commons is a?Massachusetts-chartered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable corporation. The organization aims to enable the sharing and use of creative works via?copyright licenses.

Whether you are a visual artist, painter, photographer, screenwriter, playwright, novelist or filmmaker, chances are you have probably come across the issue of copyright at one point on your creative journey. Copyright, an area of intellectual property law, provides protection for original works of authorship and gives the copyright owner a bundle of rights to those original works. Copyright can be used by artists to control their own original works in terms of use and distribution.

On the other hand, from an idealistic standpoint, the internet is supposed to be an open exchange of information that provides people with access to culture and education. Creative Commons believes this goal is not always realized due to certain restrictive aspects of the legal system that makes it complicated to legally perform common web tasks of copying and pasting, editing source code, and sharing information on the web because copyright law requires that these actions have permission from the copyright holder. Creative Commons aims to be a free and public standardized infrastructure balancing internet freedoms with copyright law.?Creative Commons licenses provide a standardized way to give the public permission to share and use creative work using conditions designated by the individual artist.

Creative Commons licenses are not an alternative to copyright. They work alongside copyright and enable copyright holders to modify copyright terms on their own creative works to their liking. The ultimate goal of the licenses is to give people the ability to share, use, and even add to creative work via the internet. The catch regarding these licenses is that the user of the license must actually own the copyrighted work before applying a Creative Commons license to it. Users of works bearing a Creative Commons license must still beware: a Creative Commons license on a work does not guarantee the person granting the license actually owns the copyrighted material. It is always important to double-check your sources when using creative works.

It is one of the effective ways to show a product or service to the customer. It is definitely better than to textually describe a product. To make the customers believe, to get them like the product, to show them the different facets of the product a video has proved to be much more effective. Studies on ecommerce development have also showed that ecommerce videos help customers buy products and services much quickly than the traditional listing format.

How Ecommerce Videos help in Online Business Promotion?

Helps Describe Products:

With the help of videos, products can be easily described. Instead of clicking a few images of the product and letting users view those, the videos give a three-dimensional view of the product. Thus instead of just zooming into an image, the viewer can literally visualize how it will appear in real life. With the help of a video, there will be no discrepancy whatsoever on how the real product will be.
Creative Use of Videos: Businesses can use videos in many ways. Rather than just describing the product in a bland manner, the video can enhance ecommerce development. You can tell a story about the product, run through some interesting history about the product, share lesser known facts about the company producing it etc. These extra tit-bits definitely interest the users.

Estimate Traffic and Predict Sales:

As Google and other search engines have always favored videos and index them frequently including video links to the ecommerce store is really advantageous. By keeping a track on the kind of traffic that views these videos, businesses can easily forecast sale. If considerable amount of attention is laid on visitors and the time they spend on the website, it gets easier to predict sales projection.

Triggers Call-to-Action:

With a traditional ecommerce solution, a user would have to select the product they are interested in and read through the features of the products, compare the product with other similar ones and only then reach a decision. But with an ecommerce video you can cut short the process and trigger a faster action from the visitor.

Increasing Popularity Through ?How-To? Sections:

Visitors relish the assistance that ecommerce videos provide them with. The ?how to? video section helps suggest better products for the customer. It is possible to make suggestions as viewer profile is already available with the website.
Provide Additional Information About Products: Not concentrating on the sale pitch for once, ecommerce videos serve another purpose which also helps in promotion. Such a video helps in providing additional information about the products, something that the visitor did not know earlier. This element really helps in promotion as you will get more visitors to the site because you have extra information about something popular.

The market for ecommerce videos is still growing and there is lots of scope for ecommerce stores to capitalize on the trend and make the most of it.

Brian Baker Defeats Xavier Malisse At French Open, Continues Amazing Comeback

By Steve Tignor, Tennis.com

PARIS -- Brian Baker, 27 but looking a few years older and perhaps a little bit wiser than his age, headed back to the baseline after the coin toss with his baseball cap set low on his forehead. He walked on his toes, took short strides, and kept his narrow shoulders high and his upper body tilted back. He appeared to be what they call moseying. The Nashville native looked more like a country boy heading out his backdoor to do a little fishing than he did a man about to play his first match at Roland Garros. All he needed was a piece of straw in his mouth and a few lures, instead of a Babolat, in his hand to complete the down home illusion.

And that?s kind of how Baker plays tennis, with an easy, firm, no-nonsense manner, like a man who knows his business and who, rather than making a comeback after seven years and five surgeries, has been winning and losing Grand Slam matches for years now. When he makes a dumb error, Baker doesn?t lose his head. Instead, he?s the rare tennis player who scolds himself without raising his voice, and in complete sentences to boot. This afternoon, when he bungled a drop shot, Baker looked at his friends on the sidelines and said, conversationally, ?I?ve hit some pretty bad drop shots today.? Later, he tried to take a return of serve early, got his feet tangled, and put the ball into the back fence. ?That?s bad,? he said, using his indoor voice. ?It?s embarrassing.?

Baker doesn?t mess around with his strokes, either; there?s nothing elaborate or dramatic about them. He has some of the quickest and most compact backswings around. Actually, when you watch him up close, you realize that his forehand swing isn?t as short as it might appear; he just gets it through the zone with dispatch. His backhand? If Baker were 10 years younger and a rookie, we?d be describing it as one of the most exciting new shots in the game. It?s short and sweet and clean, but it?s also, as Baker?s opponent, Xavier Malisse, found out today, vicious. When Baker swings it, the fisherman turns into a bully.

Baker moseyed and bullied his way past Malisse in straight sets today, on a highly energized side court at Roland Garros. It was, oddly, the first Grand Slam match that Baker had played since losing to Malisse in the second round of the 2005 U.S. Open (last week Baker played his first ATP event of any kind since that match; he reached the final in Nice). That was before the sports hernia and the left hip operation and the Tommy John surgery and the reconstructive right elbow surgery and the right hip cleaning and who knows what else that Baker probably can?t even remember having done to him.

For obvious reasons, Baker has been the story of the ATP for the last few weeks, as he came from injury oblivion to earn the USTA?s wild card into Roland Garros and turn himself into the oldest phenom in U.S. tennis history. Still, this wasn?t a Baker crowd; it was Malisse, of nearby Belgium, who got the bigger cheer when the two were announced. Baker obviously wasn?t fazed.

Later he admitted to be a little in awe of the moment, but that wasn?t the only thing he felt as he walked out. ?I kinda had a little bit of confidence, too, going out there,? Baker said. ?I wasn?t as nervous as maybe I was in the U.S. Opens in the past. Last week [in Nice] helped me a ton, just beating some of those good players. You?re gonna have more nerves in a Grand Slam match. It?s just part of the game.?

A man going about his business.

Baker set the tone early, one that would stay the same throughout. He did what so many baseliners don?t do these days, he rushed his opponent. He took the ball early and on the rise. He moved in on his returns. He went down the line and through the shortest part of the court. And he used his 120-m.p.h. serve when needed. Malisse was a step behind, even on clay.

Baker?s plan worked to the tune of 46 winners against 27 errors. And his rush-the-opponent style worked best when it mattered most. Baker won the second set tiebreaker 7-1, going away, with a forehand winner, two aces, and another forehand winner. And when the inevitable nerves came, at 4-2 in the third set, Baker stayed just calm enough not to let them overwhelm him. In the third-set breaker, he earned one mini-break with a backhand return winner, then went up 5-4 with a gutsy forehand volley that he took from about a foot inside the baseline. Finally, he got what even folk heroes sometimes need, a little help. From 5-5, Malisse took two swings and hit two balls into the net. Baker had his first win at Roland Garros.

How did he celebrate? He threw his hands in the air and brought them down again. Then he moseyed up to the net to shake hands.

How did he react later? In typical Nashville fashion, without a whole lot of fuss.

?The last couple weeks my game has come around,? Baker said afterward, ?and I?m feeling a lot healthier and definitely playing some good tennis.? Healthy, playing good tennis: What else could a 27-year-old guy who was coaching college tennis last year ask for?

Where will the sport's version of a Disney feel-good flick end? Well, consider this: In November 1997, Andre Agassi was 27 years old and ranked No. 141; today Brian Baker is 27 years old and ranked No. 141. Can a career Grand Slam be far off?

For now, Baker may be starting to enjoy the star treatment. He plays France?s Gilles Simon next. Baker says, with a no-fuss grin, that he wouldn't mind if it's on a show court.

US student killed while filming violence in Syria

Bassel Shahade, 28, a filmmaker and graduate student at the University of Syracuse, was killed Monday during clashes between regime troops and protesters in the embattled city of Homs.

By Isolde Raftery, msnbc.com

Just five months ago, Bassel Shahade, a film student at Syracuse University, was explaining to the hosts of Democracy Now! that he had to speak quietly. He had hunkered down in an apartment in Damascus, Syria and worried that soldiers outside could hear him. ??

?Thousands of detainees are still in the prisons,? Shahade said in a low voice. ?Among them are tens of my friends. They are not terrorists. They are filmmakers, journalists, doctors, lawyers. They are very high intellectual people and activists.?

In the studio, host Amy Goodman worried for Shahade?s safety. ?We can hear you just fine, Bassel, but we want you to be very careful,? Goodman said. ?You can tell us you can?t talk. That is fine.?

Shahade, 28, was killed Monday while filming the aftermath of attacks by government security forces. The United Nations believes that 9,000 people, most of them civilians,?have been killed during the 14-month uprising against President Bashar Assad.

Video: Shelling in Syria intensifies

Amer Mater, a friend of Shahade, told The Associated Press that Shahade was in Houla to film the aftermath of violence over the weekend that killed 108 people, including at least 32 children.

The bloodied bodies of children, some with their skulls split open, were shown in footage posted to YouTube purporting to show the victims of the shelling in the central town on Friday.?The sound of wailing filled the room.

Houla Media Center, a Syrian citizen journalist group, provided this image of image of bodies covered in white shrouds following the massacre in Houla, Syria. Syrian authorities deny responsibility.

Shahade was filming a documentary, Mater told the AP, and had trained other activists as videographers to document the attacks.

Syracuse University?Chancellor Nancy Cantor?called Shahade's death a tragedy.

?His death is also a tragedy for the Syrian people, who have suffered many months of tragic violence as they seek greater freedom for their nation,? Cantor said.

Friends took to Facebook to mourn the loss of their friend. A man named Waheeb wrote that he had cried looking at his friend?s photos. He said that Shahade ?loved Syria and the people around him.?

?I remember him showing me proudly an article by his uncle ridiculing sectarianism and ideas of religious divisions between Christians and Muslims in Syria,? Waheeb wrote. ?He believed that neither sect, ethnicity or religion mattered in relations between people.?

Shahade?s interview with Democracy Now! took place on Dec. 29, 2011, four days after Christmas. He told the hosts that tension was rising and violence increasing. A baby cried in the background.

?You cannot walk after three-o-clock in the city. You?ll be shot,? Shahade said. ?And you don?t know from where it will come?from the army or from the locals. Like, it?s a total chaos there.?

He told of a friend, a doctor, who was shot while trying to cross the border into Turkey.

?He was providing help for protesters,? Shahade said. ?And they followed him, and he tried to cross the borders to Turkey, and they shot him on the border.?
