Tehran, Feb 19
Ground forces of Iran's elite Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Sunday launched a two-day desert exercise code-named Valfajr.
Commander Mohammad Pakpour said the infantry units and battalions are participating.
The exercise is conducted in central Yazd province and is aimed at enhancing combat preparedness, Xinhua reported quoting the official IRNA news agency.
He said IRGC is prepared to strike back at any act of aggression against the Islamic republic.
